Cyberchase premiered on PBS on January 21, 2002. Motherboard is a benevolent and visionary leader - the all-knowing essence of the computer network responsible for the order and stability of Cyberspace. Dr. Marbles is her head techie, a brilliant cyber-creation who knows the inner-workings of Motherboard like no one else. Hacker, a cyber-creation housed in a human persona, is Motherboard's C.O.C. (Chief Operating Cyborg), in charge of carrying out the wishes of Motherboard. But tired of playing second fiddle, and jealous of Marbles' superior knowledge, Hacker turns into a power-hungry scoundrel, intent on taking control of Cyberspace. When Hacker's plan is discovered, Motherboard shuts down his power grid and exiles him to the Northern Frontier in the far reaches of Cyberspace. Determined to carry out his original plan, Hacker tricks 3 Earth kids into helping him contaminate Motherboard's operating system with a debilitating virus, thereby causing her to lose much of her memory and ability to function. Now able to travel from Cybersite to Cybersite with his henchmen, Buzz and Delete, Hacker creates chaos everywhere he goes and tries to take control of each and every site in Cyberspace. Motherboard must stop him! And so she enlists the aid of Jackie, Matt and Inez - the same 3 kids manipulated by Hacker. While Jackie, Matt and Inez perform heroic deeds in times of great stress, they are normal, everyday kids - with no special powers - and no superior math skills. What they do have, however - is what every kid has - the ability to reason and apply what they know to solving the problems that face them.
