As Told By Ginger premiered on NICK on October 25, 2000. Everybody knows that middle school is no place for human beings. It's better suited to hyenas, gaboon vipers, or komodo dragons. The fact is, it's a jungle in there. In this animated series, Klasky/Csupo, the creators of Rugrats, have bravely entered this dangerous world. The star of the show is Ginger Foutley, a 6th grader swimming in the shark-infested waters of junior high, where an ethnic last name, the wrong pair of sneakers or a single hair out of place could mean swift, devastating social doom. Ginger's best friend Dodie happens to breaThe rarefied air of the cool kids, though, so Ginger's able to pass easily between different groups in her school, a difficult and sometimes socially dangerous feat.
